Kenneth Michael Hoover is a poet, writer, scholar, and teacher from the Midwest, USA. He is a PhD student at the University of Nebraska, where he works as an editorial assistant for The Walt Whitman Archive and Prairie Schooner, and he has studied with Anne Waldman and Kwame Dawes, among others. His work has earned awards and fellowships, including two consecutive John J. McKenna Fellowships in Creative Nonfiction, a Susan N. Maher Scholarship in Graduate Research, a nomination for the Helen Hansen Award, a Wardle, Lane, and Spire Fellowship, and two consecutive Othmer Fellowships. He is a member of the Authors Guild, the AWP, the Modern Language Association, the Modernist Studies Association, and the Emily Dickinson International Society. He lives in Lincoln with his family.
